Solar panels with battery storage supply all your electricity needs.

A log-burner provides heating for your stay during cool weather with free firewood.

Plenty of level onsite parking for cars, boats and trailers.

The owners’ interest in re-using and upcycling materials has created a stylish and unique property. For example, the building was designed to incorporate a rescued curved Rimu staircase which had been in storage since the Christchurch earthquake.

Cooking is via a modern gas hob, and a Ziggler and Brown hooded barbeque takes care of roasting, baking, even bread and muffins!  BBQ cookbook provided.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms plus a small loft room. Master bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite. The ‘tree room’ and the third bedroom have double beds. The loft room has a single bed which is proving a hit with the kids. There is a foldout double sofabed in the lounge. Bathrooms are clean, new and modern.

There is a TV to play DVD’s from our small selection if the weather is inclement, or plug in your own device. Wifi is now installed. We have an excellent old style stereo that plays CD’s or connects to your device via an auxiliary jack. There are plenty of books and games.

Enjoy walking,  mountain-biking, fishing, golf and all the attractions of Kaikoura. Kanuka Hill is the perfect place to disconnect from technology for a relaxing break with whanau and friends.
